Eligibility and Guidelines
Only those eligible will be allowed to enter the Dream Wedding Contest. This contest is open to legal 18 and older residents of the 50 United States, and the District of Columbia, entrants must either confirm that you’re a registered user of our website, www.northernvirginiamag.com, or register for it here. Employees of the Dream Wedding Sponsors and Northern Virginia Magazine, and any persons involved in the creation, development, or implementation of this contest; and any other persons or entities directly associated with this contest and any members of their immediate families or households are ineligible to participate. Contest entries must be received prior to the expiration of the contest entry period. Entrants agree to abide by these official rules and all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations that govern contests when submitting an entry form. THERE IS NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER THE CONTEST OR WIN. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL, AND MUNICIAP LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
Only couples who are engaged to be married may enter to win and must be planning to have a wedding October 13, 2012. The wedding will take place in Woodbridge, Virginia. The package giveaway will cover up to 200 guests. Any additional guest will involve a cash upgrade with certain vendors including but not limited to catering and décor. The winner of this contest must agree with all the participating sponsor’s availability, schedules and guidelines. The package cannot be transferred and has no cash value. There are no substitutions on any of the services offered; winners must negotiate with sponsors for specific features.
How and When Winners Will Be Selected
After registering for the Dream Wedding, contestants will be given the opportunity to provide a short statement explaining why they think they should win the Dream Wedding. Contestants will be selected from this pool of entries to move on to the video rounds. The winners for all rounds will be selected based on creativity. Our team of experts from Northern Virginia Magazine and video viewers will decide the winner of the Dream Wedding Giveaway. Decisions are final on all matters relating to the contest.
The contest winner will be notified on or about March 14, 2012 using the contact information provided on the winner’s entry form. Contest winner will be required to agree on the Terms of Use Release, Copyright Release, Liability Release, and Terms of Condition. Noncompliance and inaccurate entry information will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be determined based on the criteria described above.

Design Restrictions and Requirements:
a) The video submitted must be under 2mins in formats that are QuickTime compatible.
b) Participant must provide name, age, address, contact information and a valid e-mail account.
c) Video must be no greater than 8 MB in size. Sponsors will contact participants if their format is not valid.
d) If you mail us your own original video, it should be in the form of a CD or DVD. You must also provide your name, age, address, contact information, and a valid e-mail account.
Northern Virginia Magazine has reserved the right to review and reject any video in its sole discretion for any purpose and reason without notifying the entrant. By submitting a video, each entrant represents that they consent to the rules of the contest. Entrants must not submit materials that display any derogatory, libelous content about Northern Virginia Magazine or any of its Dream Wedding Sponsors. Submission must not display any derogatory, libelous content, obscenities, profanities, vulgar language, lewd behavior, nudity or any sexually explicit depictions or anything deemed to be offensive, obscene or inappropriate. Northern Virginia Magazine has the right to deem submissions inappropriate and can and will terminate the entrant from the giveaway.

As it is stated in our terms of use, every aspect of the Dream Wedding Giveaway is trademarked and copyrighted by Northern Virginia Magazine. The contents of the contest are the sole property of Northern Virginia Magazine. Reproduction in whole or in parts is strictly prohibited without the written permission of Northern Virginia Magazine. Materials may not be reproduced in any form. Any reproduction or editing by any means electronic, mechanical without the written and explicit permission of Northern Virginia Magazine is strictly prohibited.
Liability Release
By entering the contest or accepting the Dream Wedding Giveaway, the participant agrees that the released parties, Dream Wedding sponsors and Northern Virginia Magazine will not be held liable by any and every participant for any damages, injury, loss to person or property related directly or indirectly, to the acceptance, participation, possession, use or misuse of prize giveaway, anything that is contest related, or any other claim or cause of action the participant may have against the released party. All entrants will assume all liability for any injury or damages caused or claimed by participating in any and every aspect of the Dream Wedding Giveaway. Each entrant must acknowledge and agree that his/her entry and all related materials created in the submission and all rights, title, shall be and here are, effective upon creation, assigned to and become the property of the sponsors. Winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and/or release. Winner is solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on the prize. IN NO EVENT SHALL NORTHERN VIRGINIA MAGAZINE BE LIABLE IN ANY MANNER FOR THE FAILURE OF ANY SPONSOR OR VENDORS FAILURE TO PERFORM OR FOR ANY ACT OR OMISSION.
Terms of Condition
Without limiting the foregoing, Northern Virginia Magazine will have the irrevocable, royalty-free, fully perpetual right to edit, re-edit, adapt, modify, reproduce, promote, distribute create derivative works and otherwise use the entry and related materials in any way it sees fit and in any form or media whether now or hereafter known or developed. Entrant hereby gives Northern Virginia Magazine and its Dream Wedding Contest sponsors, full permission and authority to use, publish and display the submission, as well as entrant’s name, voice, video or other likeness for advertising or other related purposes in any media without additional compensation.
By submitting an entry form, each entrant hereby voluntarily and irrevocably releases and agrees not to institute any claim against Northern Virginia Magazine or its Dream Wedding Contest sponsors, or any of its affiliates, from any damages or expenses from any and all injuries, damages of any kind arising from or in connection with, either directly or indirectly with the Dream Wedding Contest.
