Sundays just got a little more festive under the instruction of The Center for the Arts in Manassas, with its Second Sunday Country Western Line Dances and Third Sunday Two-Step and West Coast Swing Dances. The Third Sunday tradition began in November and has grown so quickly, the Center recently felt the need to add the additional recreation day of open stomping grounds.
According to operations director Marci Settle, folks flock to the regularly scheduled sessions “to prepare for an upcoming wedding in the family, to meet new people, or to learn something new and have fun.
“We get quite a few people who have never country danced before, with some experienced dancers showing up, also. The instructors are some of the best in the Northern Virginia area, and they tailor the dance to the experience level and make sure everyone has a good time.”
The Center for the Arts at the Candy Factory is located at 9419 Battle St., in Old Town Manassas.
