Twinkie, Twinkie, little star

0129091Mmmm. Twinkies. There’s not a lot that’s better than the yellowy goodness of a Twinkie. (OK, well, a Ho Ho, but that’s beside the point.) Most people like to eat them, but others of us like to design experiments to do all sorts of weird things to the innocent Twinkie. Thus, I give you The T.W.I.N.K.I.E.S. Project. I guess some very bored Rice University students during their finals week in 2005 (I usually had more pressing matters than playing with fluffy puffs of sugar in college) decided to perform all sorts of interesting Twinkie trials, from testing its density and rapid oxidation qualities to throwing them off the top of a building to measure gravitational response and seeing if Twinkies are “intelligent.” The conclusion of that last one: “Twinkies are not sentient in any way we can understand.” Well, duh. The site really shows how hilarious brainiac college kids can be at times.

Neil Gaiman aficionados will want to check out this site, which illustrates his “The Day the Saucers Came” with a very cool series of storyboards. Good stuff.

If you’ve never stopped at Funny Exam Answers for a spell, you’re in for a treat. The blog features a host of real exams, essays and other tests filled out in entertaining fashion. My favorites: “Chemistry exam answers,” “B is the new C” and “George Clooney — Essay Topic.”

Who HASN’T taken a picture only to find out that there was something stupid doing something equally stupid in your frame? (I guess that’s why they created digital cameras.) This is a tribute to those such photos.

This is an AWESOME list of honest movie posters.

And if you’re looking for hundreds of useless facts, your prayers have been answered.
