The father-and-son team of Franco and Noe Landini has revamped the venerable Fish Market, carving out an entirely new watering hole dubbed Anchor Bar.

The downstairs has been completely renovated, with semi-private booths now parked in the old lounge area while a new seafood counter (each place setting availed of sea salt, malt vinegar, cocktail sauce and oyster crackers) and bar (outfitted with a polished chrome tap shaped like an actual anchor) occupy the original entrance.

The dedicated Anchor Bar menu includes: oyster shooters, a surf-and-turf sliders sampler (sextet of mini-bacon cheeseburgers, crab cake and fried oyster sandwiches) and fries smothered in crab dip, melted cheddar and bacon. 105 King St., Alexandria; 703-836-5676; www.fishmarketoldtown.com. Open for lunch, dinner and late-night dining daily.
