To mark 50 years of Pride in DC, the city is hosting WorldPride 2025, a massive international celebration of LGBTQ+ culture, history, and activism, produced by the Capital Pride Alliance. Here are some of the key events to check out.
DC Black Pride
May 23–May 26
This multiday annual event, produced by the Center for Black Equity, will celebrate the Black LGBTQ+ community with parties, dances, musical performances, and wellness sessions, as well as raise awareness of and funding for HIV and AIDS. Locations vary
Welcome Ceremony + Concert
May 31
The festival will kick off with a ceremony at Nationals Park with remarks from dignitaries, a welcoming for the Capital Cup athletes, and a show from superstar Shakira. Nationals Park: 1500 S. Capitol St. SE, Washington, DC, starting at $227
WorldPride Parade
June 7
Perhaps the most iconic of Pride celebrations, the parade will march down 14th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue with floats, grand marshals, and music. 14th and T streets NW, Washington, DC, free
Music Festival: Global Dance Party
June 6–7
Jennifer Lopez and Troye Sivan will headline two days of music at the RFK festival grounds, with genres to include pop, house, and techno. Festival Grounds at RFK Campus: 2500 Independence Ave. SE, Washington, DC, two-day tickets starting at $259
WorldPride Street Festival and Concert
June 7–8
An array of vendors, beverage gardens, and food options will fill Pennsylvania Avenue for this festival. Plus, live performances on several stages keeps the energy up all day.
