With many of us getting Monday off, that makes for three days of funaxation (fun + relaxation).
Here are our picks for what to do + where in NoVA this Veterans Day weekend.

Cheer on some derby ladies. The league championship pits the Vineyard Vixens against the Backyard Betties in NoVA Roller Derby‘s last home bout. They will be skating hard & giving back per usual, as spectators are encouraged to bring toiletries items for Shelter House on Saturday.
Salute the brave and courageous. So many men and women fight, sacrifice and give their lives to give us the freedoms we enjoy today. Honor our much deserved military vets at one of the area’s many celebrations.
Experience the Fringe. The fallFringe, that is. With shows running through Nov. 18, this year’s fest includes acts from 14 groups from past Capital Fringe Festivals on three stages in DC. Peruse the full schedule here and make sure to swing by the Baldacchino Gypsy Tent Bar for indoor fringing.
Embrace your classical side. On Sunday, National Symphony Orchestra artists Natasha Bogachek (violin) and Dasha Gabay (piano) are giving NoVA a taste of their musical chops. Lorton’s Workhouse Arts Center is site of the free concert, which is set to include works by Saint-Saens, Faure and Wieniawsky, among others.
