When: Dec. 15-16
Where: 26 Fairfax St., 2nd Floor, Leesburg
CycleLuv, a new indoor cycling studio in Leesburg, will mark its grand opening this Saturday. Free cycling classes and raffles will be among the excitement on this fun weekend.
The idea of CycleLuv came from fitness and cycling enthusiast Iris Kotmel. “Indoor cycling has become a huge trend all over the country. I noticed that there weren’t any cycling studios close by in Loudoun, so I decided to start up my own,” says Kotmel.
After months of construction and a few trial-run classes, CycleLuv is ready to take-off in just a few days. One hundred fifty people have already signed up for Saturday and Sunday’s free cycling classes. Kotmel, along with a few other instructors, will teach the classes and make the one-hour session fly by (along with the calories). Reserve your seat this weekend by registering at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Mayor of Leesburg, Kristen Umstattd, will be cutting the ribbon at 10 a.m. on Saturday to mark the opening of the new cycling studio. After the ribbon is cut, the classes and party begins.
For those who are not cycling gurus, there is a chance to win many prizes and gift cards to some of Leesburg’s local businesses. The fun will continue on Sunday with more free classes, and then CycleLuv is open for regular business Monday morning.
If you miss this weekend’s grand opening, you can register online for one of the many cycling classes given each week. Also, CycleLuv will have special holiday events coming up, including a two-hour charity ride on Dec. 24 and a New Year’s Eve party. Check out CycleLuv’s website for more information.
