Ah, Paris…in Hillsboro.
This Saturday, the Bluemont Concert Series will host a night of music by Trio Tympanon as part of their 2013 Country Dances series, occurring on the third Saturday of each month. From 8 to 11 p.m., the band cranks out Parisian-style tunes with instruments like the fiddle, mandolin, accordion, dulcimer and bagpipes. A half-hour before the band plays, concert-goers can learn a mix of dance moves taught by Bluemont’s own instructors.
A silent auction will accompany the festivities, and attendees will have the opportunity to purchase artwork, crafts and other items donated by local artists and businesses. All proceeds go to Bluemont to aid in their nonprofit community efforts.
Tickets are $10 for regular attendance, and $7 for seniors. Check out Trio Tympanon for a taste of what’s in store:
