‘Cop Car’ debut: It’s your chance to chat with Kevin Bacon this Saturday in Loudoun

Alamo Drafthouse One Loudoun debuts ‘Cop Car’ with a live stream Q&A with Kevon Bacon following the showing.

By Editorial August 6, 2015 at 11:35 am

We’ve all heard of the six degrees of separation theory. And what name is this always tagged to? Kevin Bacon. This Saturday you have the chance to get direct access to the actor at Alamo Drafthouse One Loudoun during the 8 p.m. showing of “Cop Car” (rated R).

Live streaming from LA, Bacon will be taking audience member questions through Twitter after the showing of the film, an indie thriller where Bacon plays a small-town sheriff after two boys who have stolen his car.

Filmmaker Jon Watts, who was tapped to make the next “Spider-Man” movie, sets “Cop Car” in a rural town where two 10-year-old boys (Richmond native Hays Wellford and James Freedson-Jackson) find an abandoned cop car and decide to take a joyride. The film, which received acclaim at the Sundance Film Festival, takes a turn when Bacon goes after the boys since he’s left not only his gun in the car, but a criminal bound and gagged in the trunk. And the action continues from there.
