What’ll 100 bucks buy you at the Corcoran? A smattering of D.C.’s best mixologists.
Through March, 12 of the area’s top mix makers competed to craft drinkable spinoffs inspired by works of Corcoran Gallery of Art + Design students. Different nights saw slashed menu prices at the various participant venues that bar-goers could vote on throughout the month, but it all comes together in one celebratory hurrah at Saturday evening’s Artini event: a Who’s Who of D.C. bartenders, including such noteables as Gina Cherservani of PS7 and Owen Thomson of Bourbon.
While drinks such as Mie N Yu/Chris Kelley’s “The Kracken” (inspired by Corcoran College of Art + Design student Sarah Robbins) sound like they’d be well worth the trek across the Potomac (Sour mix and gummy octo garnish? Say no more.), we’d be remiss NOT to take issue with the noteable lack of Old Dominion representation.
So with that, we pose the question to you, readers. For your chance to score two tickets to the event, let us know what Virginia-based cocktail, bar or mixologist you’d like to have seen included in Artini’s roundup.
Clue us in by 5 p.m. tonight. We’ll pick an answer we like best, and have the commenter and a date added to the guest list.
