Thai New Year rolls around next week.

And several proud Siamese establishments will celebrate the arrival of Songkran–a springtime tradition focused on renewal and absolution via the world’s biggest water fight–by participating in the second annual Thai Restaurant Week (April 13-April 19).
Last year’s restaurant week centered around newly imported Southeast Asian curiosities like durian, mangosteen and rambutan.
No word (yet) on what this year’s dining theme might be. But a slew of NoVA restaurants will partake in the festivities, including: Born, Chao Phra Ya, Duangrat’s, Mai Thai, Rabieng, T.H.A.I. in Shirlington, Tara Thai and Thai Phoon.
Meanwhile, visitors to any of the participating Thai properties will get a chance to enter into a grand prize drawing for a 5-day trip to Thailand (airfare and hotel included).
