Craft brew evangelist Brandon Turman unveiled Beer Petitions–a grassroots project designed to help Joe Six-Pack’s everywhere steer their favorite absentee suds towards the watering holes they frequent–earlier this week.
So far, the only local supplicants have been D.C. denizens begging for refreshment upgrades (or in the case of the lone Pabst Blue Ribbon champion, downgrades) at Bourbon, The Reef and Adams Mill Bar.
Mind you, I have no idea whether Turman and his fledgling flock will be able to sway a single producer, bar owner or beer distributor any time soon (the Washington City Paper’s Lager Heads outline a number of potential sticking points here).
But, just in case, I want EVERYONE IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA to let New Belgium know that we demand Fat Tire in our taverns, restaurants and grocery stores ASAFP.
