E-zine Asylum is on the hunt for the “manliest restaurant in America”–and no, they’re not just looking for breastaurants or common sense-defying chowhouses.
Nominations have poured in from across the country, including one which shouldn’t surprise any local beef lovers: Ray’s the Steaks.
Ray’s champion Jason Storch confirmed that he tossed the local steak palace’s hat into the ring, noting, “They [Asylum] emailed me asking me for nominations. It was either them [RTS] or Camelot.”
Ray’s was featured in the first round of voting but still faces some stiff competition–Houston’s Feast (a whole hog emporium), Miami’s Kingdom (an oversized burger haven), Atlanta’s Holeman & Finch Public House (gourmet meats galore) and New Orleans’ Mother’s Restaurant (a comfort food clearinghouse)–within the Southern division.
So, if you want to support the home team, let Asylum know Ray’s exudes manliness in your book.
I mean, how often does Michael Landrum get any positive press?
