    Spam musubi is a popular snack in Hawaii that originated from the Japanese “onigiri,” or rice balls. It is an extremely quick and simple snack to make. So whether you’re a broke college student on a budget, or love spam, you should definitely try this out.

    Ingredients

    What you will need: rice, seaweed (preferably the non-salted one), and a can of spam.

    Cut up into 1cm thick slices

    Cut the spam into 1cm thick slices.

    Fry the spam.

    Fry the spam until it reaches your desired crispiness.

    Wash the Spam can.

    Wash the can that the spam came in.

    Pack the bottom with rice.

    Pack the bottom with as much or as little rice as you would like.

    Put one slice of spam in.

    Place one slice of spam into the can.

    Cut the seaweed into strips and place one strip onto a plate.

    Cut the seaweed into strips and place one strip onto a plate (I didn't have scissors at the time so I had to rip it, but I definitely recommend using scissors.)

    Place the can upside down in the middle of the seaweed.

    Center the can in the middle of the seaweed and place it upside down. You might have to tap on the can a few times for the rice and spam to loosen up and fall out.

    Use water to wet the ends of the seaweed.

    Wrap and enjoy! (The seaweed should stick to itself when wet.)
