A few weeks after scoring a top spot in Northern Virginia Magazine’s 50 Best Restaurants issue, Pizzeria Orso hosts a viewing party this Sunday, Nov. 25 at 8:30 p.m. for Chef Will Artley as he makes his first television appearance on  Food Network’s Chopped.

Chopped is a fast-paced cooking competiton that features four up-and-coming chefs who battle it out for a $10,000 prize in a three-part challenge. Each round is judged by a panel of notable celebrity chefs and restaurateurs, like Alex Guarnaschelli, Geoffrey Zakarian, and Marc Murphy.

Located in Falls Church, fans of Pizzeria Orso are invited to join Chef Artley and his team for a viewing party where all will be able to watch as Artley cooks his way through the competition for a shot at the $10,000 prize and title of “Chopped Champion.”

Quoted in a press release, Artley says “Participating in this competition taught me a lot and really made me look back on my experiences in this industry thus far. This was the first time I was without my team, and learned to truly appreciate how much of my success has been because of their support, loyalty and hard work.”

Throughout the celebration, guests will have an opportunity to sip and sample show-inspired fare, including an assortment of Artley’s signature Neapolitan pizzas and holiday-themed eggnog slushies. There will also be a contest where guests who arrive wearing the ugliest Christmas sweater will earn a shot at winning a prize of their own.

“I’m also extremely excited about the exposure my appearance on this show will have on the growing culinary scene in Falls Church, Virginia,” Artley adds, “there’s some really exciting things going on out here so I encourage everyone to make the trip and experience what we have to offer!”
