While everyone celebrates Valentine’s Day in their own way, there is one thing the masses do agree on: you better not show up empty-handed. Check out some of these gift ideas from local shops in the area that will help make your Valentine’s Day a success.
Society Fair
Allow the folks at Society Fair in Old Town Alexandria to do the work for you. Their St. Valentine’s Date Night Bag is sure to cover all your bases. Best Buns Bread Company
Chocolate covered strawberries are a classic gift that anyone will appreciate. The Arlington based Best Buns Bread Company is offering a deal on a dozen long-stem, juicy strawberries dipped in fine chocolate. The dozen includes eight dipped in semi-sweet chocolate and four in white chocolate. The strawberries come in an open faced box decorated for the special day. Orders can be picked up Feb. 10-14. $30
Artisan Confections
Using only local and top-shelf ingredients, a gift of chocolate from Artisan Confections will not soon be forgotten. The shop is offering five special bon bons for Valentine’s Day. Maple Avenue Market
Offering plenty of fresh and local products, Maple Avenue Market in downtown Vienna has all the essential gifts this Valentine”s Day. Freshly baked cookies and cupcakes are available, as well as gluten-free dessert options. Visitors will also have the option to purchase sweets from Krishon Chocolates from 2-4 on Feb. 9. Chef Eric Johnson will be on site offering samplings of his signature truffles.
