Like many mobile restaurant owners, Megg Baroody of Meggrolls hopes to turn her food truck into a storefront.
Baroody started frying adventurously stuffed egg rolls—turkey Reuben, cordon bleu—for her bartender boyfriend and his coworkers during their late-night shifts. She and her boyfriend then opened the food truck and started accepting catering gigs. Baroody writes on her campaign page that a storefront could “allow [them] to provide Meggrolls during what could arguably be the time of day when Meggrolls are craved and desired the most—late night!” [Kickstarter]
