You know that feeling when you’re looking for something that you originally think must be really easy to find, then end up thinking to yourself that it would be easier to find a needle in a haystack? I can recall many times this has happened to me. Most recently, it happened when I was looking to buy barrettes for my two flower girls — my unbelievably gorgeous nearly five-year-old twin nieces.
I wasn’t looking for anything too special (I thought), just a barrette that was small enough to stay in their silky strands, something that had a pretty flower, preferably either light pink or white with light pink. Sounds easy, right? Wrong. I looked all over, and my Mom did, too. Nothing seemed to match what we were thinking.
Not ones to give up easily, we kept looking. Thankfully. During one night of exhaustive Web research, I hit the motherlode. I found Maiden America!
To my delight, I surfed through page after page of darling barrettes in just about every color and flower combination you can imagine. Eventually, I purchases two of this one, with a pink center instead of red. When the barrettes arrived, they looked even prettier than I had hoped they would look in person! Just adorable!
The best part: The barrettes are known for staying in even baby fine hair; they feature a patent-pending no-slip design. And, the site has different sizes available for just about every hair type and style preference.
The site’s mini barrettes are for holding small amounts of very fine hair; small are for securing larger amounts of very fine hair; medium is for pulling up small amounts of thicker hair; and large is for holding large amounts of thicker hair, ideal for older girls and even women.
Maiden America also carries darling headbands and other handmade items.
Owned and lead by Tristan Benz, a busy mom of three young girls, the company takes pride in providing flexible work schedules for moms, military wives, and other hard-working Americans, while producing top-notch, handmade products and working to make age-appropriate styles the norm for younger girls in the U.S. More and more reasons why I can’t say enough good things about Maiden America!
