Fall Fashions for the Fellas at Prices That Please

Posted by The Editorial Desk / Friday, October 17th, 2008

Happy Friday, guys! May you all have a spectacular weekend! But before you pop open an ice-cold Chimay or start planning a special meal for your sweetie — hey, a girl’s gotta try –  you may want to take a peek at the following cheat sheet on Key Fall Looks for Men.

After all, you’ll see that even the proudest of penny-pinchers can score these styles, and end up looking like Mr. Posh (maybe not Becks, but close enough). For each trend, I’ve found a splurge (an item that costs over $100) and a steal (an item under $100) and, trust me, there are many more where these came from, fellas.

Trend #1: Plaids

Wallet weighing you down? Perhaps you should consider buying this stylin’ Diesel shirt at Saks (pictured left), which costs $160. A little low on the dough? Take a look at this winner at Abercrombie & Fitch, which will only cost you $79.50.

Trend #2: Dress Boots

For a boot that you can be proud to premiere at the office, you may want to slip your toes into this sleek pair by Prada, available at Neiman Marcus for $750. Then again, if you’re not an oil tycoon, this shoe may just fit the bill, found at Macy’s, only $80 $54.99.

Trend #3: Vests

To add an instant update to your closet, you know, a piece that says, “I know what’s hot,” you may want to invest in this attractive vest by Theory (pictured to the right), available at Bloomingdale’s for $225. Then again, this smart vest at Banana Republic should do the trick (of helping you fit in on the Gossip Girl set at least), and it’s a mere $38.15. Now, there’s a steal!

Trend #4: Cardigans

To keep toasty and stylish as the weekends get cooler, you could wrap yourself in this versatile button-down cardigan at Farinelli’s, for a cool $214 or save a little cash to keep up that tailgate and buy, instead, this kickin’ cardigan at Lucky, which will only set you back $98.

Trend #5: Shades of Gray and Black

Like purple and berry hues are for the ladies, gray and black styles are virtually everywhere for your picking, easily making you appear a little more in vogue.

Oh, Chilly, I didn’t forget your “How to Buy a Watch” request, and, lucky for you, GQ must have ESP. Check this out.

Happy shopping! (I can’t wait for your comments!)

Ps. Go Penn State!

Ugh, not a big fan of these trends. I mean “dress boots”, you’ve got to be kidding me… Whatever happened to cowboy boots??

At least I can pull out my old plaid flannel shirts that have been gathering dust for the past 10 years. Oh, and go Lions!

Natalie Says:

Ha! Thanks, Marshall. No surprises there. :-) I’d be careful with that flannel.

Hey, It’s about time we got a little more attention. As for those kickin boots, I have a pair in the closet that I got married in 32 years ago that should do just fine!!! Keep the male styles coming, we need all the help we can get.

Vintage boots?! FABULOUS!
