Good morning, shoppers! Has this week been a long one for you and you just can’t believe it’s not Friday yet? Here is the scoop on some newly released beauty products and fresh new fragrances that could help put the spring back in your step.
First of all, for those of you looking to add a new fragrance into the mix, head on over to Bloomingdale’s; Marc Jacobs is exclusively debuting his new fragrance, Lola, there!
According to a release from the store, Lola is “fun, flirtatious and a bit provocative.” The fragrance is also said to sparkle with “fruity topnotes of pink peppercorn, sweet pear d’anjou and succulent ruby red grapefruit,” with the heart “highlighted by lavish fuscha peony with soft touches of rose and geranium” and base notes of “smooth vanilla, tonka bean and creamy musk.”
Sounds nice, but I think many of you may be tempted to purchase the new scent based on the beautiful bottle alone.
On the cosmetics front, there are lots of exciting new offerings from LUSH, known for its fresh, handmade cosmetics. One example, available beginning today is the new vegan Oatifix Fresh Face Mask which features a blend of fine oatmeal, fresh banana, ground almonds and vanilla. Can you imagine how good that smells?! Apparently quite the multi-tasker, the yummy-smelling product is recommended for calming, exfoliating, softening, cleansing and moisturizing the skin while also reducing redness. The price for such a dreamy product: just $7.95.
Another seriously tempting product newly released at LUSH: None of Your Beeswax Lip Balm, which the store says tastes of natural lemon, mandarin and vanilla, and has extra virgin coconut oil, mumuru butter and carnauba wax to keep lips soft and supple. Even though the product is bee-free, expect the price of such a wonder to sting? Nope, just $6.95.
I’m thinking I may have to head on over to Tysons for a little lift myself a little later.

I love Marc Jacobs so I’m pretty excited to smell his new scent. Fun bottle too!
what a gorgeous bottle! It fits with his other fragrances, but it’s different. love.
The first query which is generally asked is whether or not coconut oil is healthy to use. Producers of other oils have historically attempted to smear coconut oil as a bad oil mainly because it is principally comprised of saturated fats. Aren’t those the bad fats? In quite a few cases they are, but in the case of coconut oil their makeup is incredibly distinct from many other oils. Coconut oil is mostly composed of medium chain fatty acids that happen to be wholesome. Most other saturated fats can’t say this. The stableness saturated fats helps make sure that that coconut oil will not break down into trans fatty acids and free radicals when subjected to higher temps.
