Good morning, shoppers! Can you believe it’s the first official day of fall already? Time sure does fly, doesn’t it?
Actually, I bet you’ve been so busy lately that you haven’t had much time to clean out your abode, reassess all that you’ve accumulated and take stock of what to save and what to send elsewhere. And, that’s actually a good thing because now is the perfect time to do so.
This Saturday, Sept. 26, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. (rain date: this Sunday, same hours) at the intersection of Commonwealth and Mount Vernon Avenues in Alexandria, Del Ray Artisans is holding its annual Yard Sale, and the group is accepting donations for it now. That’s just about anything from household goods to toys, books, artwork and supplies, furniture, etc. (just not non-designer clothing and broken items). If you have some things you’d like to donate, they may be dropped off at the gallery (2704 Mount Vernon Ave.) tomorrow, Sept. 23, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Good luck with your homework. Should you be successful, perhaps you’ll have room for some fabulous new fall buys! I hope so because below are just a few of today’s most tempting offers:
Receive 20 percent off on orders of $150 or more at southmoonunder.com before Sept. 30 with the code “FALL20″.
Score a free metallic Stephanie Johnson bag filled with beauty samples with any $75 or greater beauty purchase at saks.com and the code “MEGAWATT”. Also at Saks, receive a free Nanette Lepore necklace with a contemporary women’s purchase of $250 or more and the code “CONTEMP9″ while supplies last.
Bag a free gym bag with the purchase of Calvin Klein’s new men’s fragrance ckfree at calvinklein.com.
And, through Nov. 1, save up to 25 percent on Wusthof Gourmet open stock knives at Crate & Barrel.
