Hi there, shoppers! Here’s hoping you’re all tucked inside your homes and feeling cozy as you read this — dreaming of warmer days. After all, as hard as it is to believe right now, spring will be here before we know it.

When the lovely season arrives, you know you’re going to want to get outside and enjoy it. How good does biking on the W&OD in the 70s and sunshine sound right now? Pretty glorious, right?

Well, if you could use some new wheels or your bike could stand a little tune-up before spinning again, I highly suggest heading to Washington Bike in Fair Lakes soon. Not only does the renowned store have a vast selection of bikes and related gear, tools and accessories but, after over 10 years in business, the store is soon closing its doors for good.

While the news of Washington Bike going out of business is very sad, the one bright spot in it is significant savings for all of us shoppers during the store-wide clearance sale. Currently, everything at Washington Bike has been reduced 40 percent.

With an Ironman hubby who loves cycling, I’d say it’s beyond time for moi to visit and upgrade my seriously sad cycle. So, perhaps I’ll see you there — once Snowmageddon Round Two is over, of course.

Regular Store Hours: Mon. to Sat., 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sun., 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
