Hi there, shoppers! Boy, you’re in for a treat today! Get ready to get acquainted with one of D.C.’s most fabulous young designers: Tashia Senn!
Although I was unable to attend her Saturday event at Ted Gibson-Hela Spa, where she presented her Signature Label 2010 Fall/Winter Collection, I was fortunate enough to receive photos from the fashion-focused fete, which I’m so very excited to share.
But first, here’s a little background on the collection: Inspired by 1960s fashion icons Twiggy, Lena Horne and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Senn created eclectic pieces that combine each of their classic styles with original chic details inspired from vintage clothing.
” My goal is to create designs that capture the romance of life and place women at the center of attention,” says Senn. “I thread every piece with the spirit of Paris, London, New York and D.C., creating an inspired line that is elegant and unforgettable.”
Here are some of my favorites. Think she reached her goal?

Asym Feather Dress (Tashia Senn)--Okay, so not everyone can pull off this color or skirt length, but those who can are bound to stop people in their tracks!

Neutral Jumpsuit (Tashia Senn)--I haven't been able to pull off a jumpsuit since about age 10, but if you're able to, I say go for it with this one. So dramatic!
Senn offers custom designs. If interested in setting up a one-on-one consultation, e-mail info@tashiasenn.com.
