tottieBEAN Bounces Into Great Falls

Hello there, shoppers! Here’s hoping you all had a remarkable Easter weekend full of sunshine and time spent with family! I also hope the gorgeous weather yet again today is making your Monday a bit more merry, too. Yet if even a little extra vitamin D doesn’t do the trick, don’t expect to sport a frown much longer. NoVa just gained another chic boutique!

Following on the success of launching an online shop and a retail location in Nantucket, this month local sisters Barbara O’Donnell and Bridget Pattee, co-owners of tottieBEAN, bring their casual cool apparel and gifts home. The two busy moms — with seven children between the two of them, ranging in age from 4 to 14 — have opened up a second brick-and-mortar store at Great Falls Village Centre.

O’Donnell says, “As we continue to expand our company to deliver our customers stylish, fun and affordable fashion and gifts, we are excited to open a store in the community we call home.”

When the two sisters launched the company in 2008, their vision was to offer inspired athletic and play wear to their families and friends; however, their wallet-friendly, classic, versatile collections for boys, girls and ladies quickly gained quite a following. To meet the demand, O’Donnell says they plan to introduce new lines continually throughout the year to keep their inventory “fun and fresh.”

At the Great Falls shop, which opened April 1 and has a grand opening celebration scheduled for April 9 through April 11, I’m told shoppers will find spring/summer wardrobe staples including swim and beach wear, denim leggings, everyday dresses, classic dresses and pants, versatile t-shirts and more.

While I haven’ t been able to visit yet, I have to say that swimsuit pictured above is adorable!
