Good morning, shoppers! Happy Friday! Great news all around the retail world this morning! In fact, I could write all day. Since no one has time to read all of that and I have other things I must get to, here are two of the sweetest morsels:
First, as the kiddos start looking forward (reluctantly or excitedly) to a new school year, Hair Cuttery is gearing up for their Eleventh Annual Share a Haircut promotion. For those of you who are not familiar with the program, it provides disadvantaged kids with a fresh haircut to start off the school year.
Says Daniel Ratner, founder and CEO of Hair Cuttery, “We know a new haircut on the first day of school can help a child feel more confident and can make a big difference to start the next academic year.”
This Sunday, Aug. 1, through Sunday, Aug. 15, every time a child (up to 18 years of age) gets a haircut at Hair Cuttery, the salon chain will provide a free haircut to a child in need. Through partnerships with over 100 local social service agencies and non-profit organizations, Hair Cuttery has donated more than 500,000 haircuts since the program’s inception in 1999.
Also exciting, look who’s bringing sexy back to Target, offering a special discount denim line to hit the store’s shelves in December! Unless I’m in labor when that those jeans from JT and Ayala arrive, I’m so there on the first day. I love me some William Rast! (Thanks, People, for the heads-up!)
Have a great weekend!

Ps. While you unwind over the next few days, how about throwing a massage in the mix? This weekend’s Specialicious deal: over half off relaxation massage at Jus Massage!
