Another Holiday: Over, Shopping Treats: Here to Stay

Hello there, shoppers! So, your sanity or fear was restored and then what happened? A slew of costumed kids made off with all of your M&Ms! And now, you think,  it’s just another manic Monday. Not so fast. This week promises an enviable selection of shopping sweets, most of them sans calories. Of course, if confections are what truly delight you, you won’t be left out in the cold either.

First, as I mentioned last week, The Dandelion Patch is throwing a Grand Opening soiree at their new Georgetown location on Thursday, Nov. 4,  from 7-9 p.m., featuring discounts, drinks and desserts! And if you don’t feel like fighting the traffic into the District, great news: The new Leesburg store will also be celebrating on Thursday evening, hosting a girls night out featuring the same glorious 3Ds above. Second, tomorrow night, Nov. 2,  Paul Mitchell The School will be reopening at Tysons Corner Center. Celebrating five successful years in Tysons, they’ll have a ribbon-cutting at 7:30 p.m., before grand reopening festivities inside the new 11,000 square-foot space (located outside of Nordstrom).

Third, this Friday through Sunday, Nov. 5-7, Red Barn Mercantile in Old Town Alexandria will be hosting their annual Holiday Open House, unveiling their four 2010 holiday themes (Parisienne, woodland, maritime and traditional) and gifting customers with surprise discounts (10-30 percent) hidden in ornaments found on the store Christmas tree. It’s the only time all year when we can save on luxurious brands like Pinecone Hill and Dash & Albert.
