Mega-shopping centers like Tysons Corner Center and the Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets may open at midnight and offer their share of awesome deals, but Old Town Alexandria is not about to let the malls have all of the Black Friday retail love. As part of the Shop Local Alexandria initiative, many of the Old Town Boutique District stores will be open as early as 6 a.m. tomorrow, Nov. 26; and as always, the selections you’ll find in them will include unique items you just can’t find among the big guys. Plus, get a load of this: Make a purchase at any one of the OTBD stores and bring your receipt to any of the others to score 10 percent off your entire purchase at each (some restrictions may apply) on top of other Black Friday discounts.
Here is the full list of participants, store hours and their individual discounts. But it gets even better. All six city-owned garages and lots in Old Town will offer free Black Friday parking!
A few gift ideas courtesy of Red Barn Mercantile to get you even more pumped:

Mouse-in-a-Box, $25

Cheer Up Glass, $5.50; Cheer Up Decanter, $12.95

Godfather Quotations, $12.95

Tatine Soy/Beeswax Candles, $34

Let's Play Mail, $63
Happy shopping! And Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
