An Amazon customer photo of the Melissa & Doug Chomp & Clack Alligator from Angela D. Sweeney (Amazon.com)
I have purchased this toy for my cousin’s little guy who at the time was just turning 1 and about to walk, as well as for my daughter, who is currently 9-months-old, also on the cusp of walking without assistance ( It’s recommended for 1 and up). Both love it! And the little guy I mentioned has a brother who is 3–he finds the toy fun, too.
It’s been amazing watching my baby girl stroll all around our house. I have never seen bigger smiles on her face, and that’s saying a lot as she is our little Sunshine Bear. She’s just so proud of herself and giggles at the little alligator mouths that open and close as the toy is pushed.
Things I love about the Chomp & Clack, aside from seeing it bring so much joy to my daughter as it helps her get around on her own two feet:
–It’s small–everyone knows how big and bulky some baby items can be.
–It’s super-easy to assemble … just two screws.
–Since it’s easy to assemble, it’ll be easy to disassemble.
–It’s adorable.
–It works equally well on and doesn’t harm carpet and wood/laminate floors.
–It’s quiet. The alligators do clack a bit, but the sound it makes is very muted, especially compared to other toys.
–It seems easy to balance on, doesn’t move wicked fast, which leads to less spills.
–And, very importantly, it is painted with non-toxic pant that hasn’t rubbed off a bit so far.
But don’t just believe me that it’s awesome.
Oh, and price-wise, you can pay as little as $35.99 on Amazon for it.
Happy shopping!
