Brent Thibodeaux is the Chief of Pediatrics in the Northern Virginia service area. In this role, he oversees and mentors fellow pediatricians in Kaiser Permanente's Northern Virginia Medical Centers as well as practicing beside them in Kaiser Permanente's Reston Medical Center.
Prior to his current position, Dr. Thibodeaux joined Kaiser Permanente as a pediatrician in the Reston Medical Center where he then became the Pediatric Lead. From 2001 to March of 2010, Dr. Thibodeaux served as a physician communication champion in the Reston Medical Center. In this capacity, he helped physicians work on their communication skills so they better understood and met the needs of their patients.
Dr. Thibodeaux received his M.D. from Louisiana State University School of Medicine at Shreveport. Dr. Thibodeaux completed his residency at the Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. He is board certified in pediatrics and is a member of the American College of Pediatrics and the Medical Society of Virginia.
