Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project

Construction above and below ground is underway from East Falls Church to the eastern edge of Reston for the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project. Concrete piers are in place, and miners have dug tunnels underneath International Drive, Route 7 and Route 123. “Drivers and pedestrians need to play close attention to changing traffic patterns,” says project spokesperson Marcia McAllister. “There will be a lot to look at, and we expect a lot of gawking.” Tysons East to Wiehle Avenue stations should open by 2013.
