Polls opened at 6 a.m. this morning for a governor’s race that has locked down the attention of a nation. With President Obama stumping for Democratic candidate Creigh Deeds, the race is under consideration as an early litmus test of Obama’s influence on the American public in a state that proved to have key swing status in last year’s presidential election. Northern Virginia Magazine spread out across the region’s voting locations over the course of the day, to ask those issuing ballots about the high-profile nature of this race, and the influencing factors in their decision-making.
