Watch Credit Card statement for inflated charge!
Issue#1
Had bill of about $100, with no tip added. Then I submitted a Entertainment.com coupon of $10.
They updated the bill by reducing it by $10, but added 18% tip, though there was no such stipulation on the coupon!
My final bill was for $106.
Issue#2
Next month when by chance I looked at my monthly credit card bill carefully, I noticed that I have been charged $160 instead of $106!!
Openly cheating customers on these 2 above issues! Help!!

Rangoli's is such a welcoming place that you can't help but feel like you've just walked into the home of close friends. The wait staff is great about remembering names and details, and the food is some of the best Indian I have eaten anywhere! I like to just sit for a while and breathe in the aromas before checking out the delights arrayed on their lunch buffet. A buffet is the one sure way to encourage people to try things that they haven't ordered before and I take full advantage of that! I've discovered many dishes I've never seen at other restaurants - including many vegetarian ones! My kids give their favorite dishes "two thumbs up" at Rangoli's and they are not easy to please! It's nice to be able to do carryout for those times when I want a delicious meal but don't have the time to stop in and enjoy the company of my Rangoli friends. I highly recommend the lunch buffet, dinner menu and the carryout and catering menus. It's simply the best Indian food in the area! |

It’s not often that you can walk into a restaurant and be treated as if you are part of the family; kind of like the TV show Cheers. But at Rangoli, the staff (and owner Kumar) makes you feel just that. Whether you’ve been there once or several times, they remember what you enjoyed on your last visit. Which is hard because there is so much to savor from this broad menu. Chicken Tikka is perfectly seasoned and prepared, so is the Paneer Makhani (which honestly made my mouth water as I wrote the name of the dish). Oh, I almost forgot the Lamb Kebabs. Since there are so many things to try, I totally recommend the lunch buffet, which will allow you to sample many of the wonderful dishes. Make sure everything is accompanied by the breads--which are done to perfection . Oh yeah, then there are the dessert—if you have room (save some). But that’s a whole other review. |

Rangoli is easily the best Indian restaurant I've come across in the US in the ten years I've lived here. Owner/manager Kumar Iyer has done a superb job of creating a comfortable, warm and welcoming atmosphere. The tasteful decor and tableware are the backdrop to a wonderful array of carefully prepared dishes. The lunchtime buffet is especially good value and the food is always excellent. Kumar's staff also deserve great credit for their attentive and friendly service. I go back again and again. Highly recommended ! |

I have enjoyed the lunch buffet at Rangoli several times. I especially enjoy the veg dishes and dahl dishes. Combined with warm naan bread and a variety of fresh chutneys you can't beat the quality and taste of Rangoli's food. I appreciate friendly service by all the staff who seem to make their guests feel at home from the moment they enter the restaurant. I will return again. |

Ambience (wow appeal as you enter); excellent service (suited matre'd to seat) and delicious food (in white tasteful china) are features you'll find in a downtown restaurant. But Rangoli could give most city restaurants a run for their money. Excellent every time I've been there; perfectly cooked food just helps in making me return. |

As long time diners at The Connaught Place in Fairfax, we decided to try Rangoli on the recommendation of an ex-CP employee. It has all the quality of a very upscale Indian eatery with a bit more of a funky, modern ambiance and a simply gorgeous buffet presentation. Everything I tried was wonderful, but I highly recommend their curry dishes--the Chilly Chicken in particular. The Tandoori specialties are above average, the various bread and papadum-style accompaniments as fresh as can be, and the mango lassis are almost as thick as an ice cream milkshake--very delightful on a hot day. There's a reason this place is getting all sorts of acclaim in the local press; I'd say it's definitely worth a try. |

We happened on this local treasure right after they opened. We were immediate fans of the food and dine there often. We consider Kumar, Sam, Kritika, Alka and the rest of the staff to be part of our extended family. When friends visit from out of town a trip to Rangoli is always on the agenda. |

Tom Sietsema at the Post raves about Rasika downtown; we tried it, but we simply feel we've got the better deal right here in LoCo.
The husband and I go to Rangoli at least once or twice a month. We used to fight over who got to order the chicken tikka makhani; now it's the chicken reshmi kebab. We're still working our way through the appetizers. Family members who thought they hated Indian cuisine have become grateful converts thanks to Rangoli.
If you get one of the owner-managers, the service is impeccable.
Not a shill, just a local fan who wants to see this restaurant thrive. If that eventually means no seating on a Friday night, well, we'll just order to go! |
