We started of with champagne in the living room by the crackling fire and were seated at 9 pm.
First there was rich caviar on these little blinis with a shot of vodka.
then, creamy Lobster Bisque full of depth.
Then a salad with radicio (sp?) arugula, candied walnuts and gorgonzola
(Oh, a different glass of wine with every dish)
Then, my gf had the trio of wild game (wild boar, venison and quail) while I had the beef welllington stuffed with foie gras.
For desert, the most magnificent Grand Marnier souffle you've ever seen - accompanied of course by a snifter of 100 year old Grand Marnier.
It was, without doubt, the best dinner I've ever had.
There is not one thing I would change about the dinner - the pace was perfect and the food was beyond compare. |
