For my winter skin, I shockingly have just a few items… for one, my absolute MUST have is definitely a good lip balm! In the past, I’ve usually been able to get by with just my ChapStick but with the dreadful snowfall and below freezing weather this year that just didn’t cut it. Instead, I switched to Carmex, and it works beautifully. I love to apply it right before bed and wake up with silky smooth lips. Another savior is actually a combo of St. Ives Apricot Scrub and Cetaphil moisturizer! I have oily skin, but with the frigid temperatures I have had the worst case of flaky, dry skin. The scrub is just what my face needs to remove the dead skin, and Cetaphil works wonders at moisturizing and keeping my oilies under control. Finally, my last savior is something I just came upon this year and couldn’t imagine making it through another winter without and that would be my Olay Quench. My skin sings when I apply it especially right after my showers and baths. For someone who lives with oily skin and has always envied those with drier skin, I now see it’s something both types struggle with. But I’m truly thankful for these and any future products I will use to help me.

I always use a moisturizer. ALWAYS!! When I was younger I used to make fun of my mother and her old lady creams. Now that I have hit my 30s I know why it is so important to use it and to use one that has sunscreen in it. In fact I preach it to my daughter who is 11-years old that she has to make sure that she uses one. Guess I am the old lady now.
