Lou & Grey, an extension of LOFT for a younger demographic, is the stylish new addition to Tysons Corner Center. Larissa Noble, vice president of design, explains: “We felt Tysons was perfect for our girl who leads such a full, busy life but wants to make sure she takes the time to stop and appreciate her surroundings.”
But who is the Lou & Grey girl? She is someone who is a free spirit and a life explorer, and her style reflects her outlook. “She makes time for daydreaming and to listen, feel and discover. We like to say she’s a mix of contradictions,” Noble says.
The store itself has a pared-down ambiance with modern accents like copper lighting and marble tables. The decor goes hand-in-hand with minimalist apparel, including artisan-crafted jewelry, home items and other accessories. Noble best explains the concept behind the brand, “Lou & Grey is an edited line of texture-rich essentials—we make pieces for women who don’t want to choose between style and comfort.”
A unique feature Lou & Grey offers is that the stores partner with jewelry-makers, apothecaries and home-decor designers from all over the country. The Tysons location features work by local painter Naomi Taitz Duffy, and they plan to add more local designers as the Lou & Grey team learns more about the creative talent in our area.
As for the price range, you can find small home items priced just below $10 and can expect to pay between $50 and $250 for clothing. // Tysons Corner Center: 1961 Chain Bridge Road, McLean
