Posted by The Editorial Desk / Tuesday, November 24th, 2009
Hi there, shoppers! Ready for all of the Black Friday revelry? If not, you should be soon! In order to help you make the most of arguably the biggest bargain day of the year, I’ve put together a little overview of some of the hottest local deals as well as the scoop on all of those extended holiday hours you’ll be enjoying.
DOWNTOWN VIENNA: Participating shops on Church St. (between Lawyers Road and Mill St.) and Maple Ave. will be offering special discounts, giveaways and events throughout the day. Some examples of the amazing Black Friday offers: 20 percent off all in-stock items at The Dandelion Patch, 20 percent off store-wide at Pear Tree Cottage and Ayr Hill Gallery, and complimentary cheese and charcuterie tastings at Maple Avenue Market. The stores will also be giving shoppers the opportunity to sign cards and donate gift items to be sent to troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan through Operation Pinecone. Several shops will even award donors additional perks, such as a free kid’s cone at Nielson’s Frozen Custard for a monetary gift.
