Hold the Phone: DVF for Gap Kids & babyGap Almost Here

Posted by Natalie Kaar / Sunday, February 12th, 2012

Hello there, shoppers!

Super sad news this weekend about one of the most iconic voices of all time and the beautiful lady who possessed it. What a loss. On a much happier note, another creative genius is making news for a much happier reason.

Next month Gap Kids and babyGap will debut a special collection designed by Diane von Furstenberg! Yes, DVF and Gap … you can bet that a certain little toddler’s SWAG-writing momma is going be ringing up one of those DVF wrap rompers as soon as they hit the racks! I mean there are capsule collections, and then there are capsule collections.

Thank you, InStyle (March issue) for the glorious reminder and a sneak peek at the pretties!

NoVA moms, here’s your competition for the 18-24 months sizes.

Happy shopping!

Style Report: Polka Dots

Posted by Natalie Kaar / Wednesday, August 17th, 2011

Hello there, shoppers! While some fall trends may be tricky for many to embrace — not expecting to see a lot of leather skirts being strutted around NoVA — others are bound to be almost universally embraced. An example of the latter: polka dots.

The main reason: Wearing them almost always means accessorizing with a mega-watt smile (models excluded).

A few cases in point polka:

Adorable, a great transition piece, and only $15.80 (Forever 21)

Bailey 44 'Turn into French' Blouse, splurge-worthy at $209 (Nordstrom)

'Rust Up' Dress, so fun and would look great with a cardi when it gets cool, $47.99 (ModCloth)

Jaquard Dress, absolutely adorable pint-size pretty for $49.95 (babyGap)

And these examples are only the beginning!

Happy shopping!
