Hello there, shoppers! Happy Friday!
Nothing against diamonds — hey, they’re my birthstone — but I think the perfect pair of jeans is really a girl’s best friend. My fashion besties go by the name of Hudson and J Brand. Maybe your BFFs answer to the names AG, Citizens of Humanity, Current/Elliott, 7, Paige, Joe’s … True Religion? Fortunately hanging out together doesn’t have to cost you a pretty penny — that is if you take advantage of some awesome sales.
Through Aug. 22, Cusp is offering all designer denim at 20 percent off, online and in stores.
Anthropologie has select designer denim styles reduced drastically, like these Paige flares, now just $99.95, regularly $189, in stores and online — the sale racks in stores are your best bet. I couldn’t believe the denim deals at the RTC Anthro last weekend!
Shopbop currently has all kinds of killer denim deeply discounted — many prices slashed 50 percent.
And South Moon Under has select styles on a major sale.
Happy shopping! And have a great weekend!

Good morning, shoppers! Here’s hoping you all are doing well and looking forward to some late-night shopping or bonding with fellow bridal buds tonight. As for those of you will be otherwise occupied this evening, the good news is that there are plenty of delicious shopping nuggets to nosh on now, including a very special way for you to help a fabulous local boutique become even more fabulous.
A few examples:
Today, the last day of a special two-day sale, you can save 20 percent on select designer tees at shopbop.com with a denim purchase and the code “DENIMNTEE20″.
If you spend $350 or more on regular-priced merchandise at Cusp stores or online between today and Sept. 17, next Thursday, you’ll receive a free super-chic black bib necklace, a Cusp exclusive.
If you’re a fan of The Dandelion Patch, stationery and gift store extraordinaire of Reston and Vienna well-known for community involvement in addition to having an incredible inventory, you could help the store become even better. The Dandelion Patch has been nominated to win $100,000 in grant and marketing support from American Express as part of the SHINE A LIGHT program, and is seeking endorsements to increase their chances of winning. Visit here to endorse the store today.
For those of you who love checking out celeb-designed frocks to see which stars truly have a fashion eye without the help of a stylist, you should be pleased to know that Lindsay Lohan is now an artistic advisor at Emanuel Ungaro, where she has been working closely with the design house’s newly appointed chief designer Estrella Archs. And, their collaborative spring/summer 2010 designs will take to the runway as soon as Oct 4, at Paris Fashion Week.
Now through Sunday, Sept. 13, you can score some free pants at The Limited, with a jacket purchase that is. This means you could snag a full Studio400 suit for less than $100.
And, finally, while they last, you can score PRPS skinny jeans, regularly $350, for less than $120 today at smartbargains.com, plus a variety of super-discounted jeans by 7 for All Mankind, Hudson, Yanuk and more.
Enjoy!
Ps. Do you think a Lohan-inspired Ungaro line is a good idea or feel like she should stick to leggings and spray tanner?

Jimmy Choo "Sky" leather shoulder bag, $2,295 (Net-a-Porter.com)
Good morning, shoppers! As you know, last week brought an announcement from sample sale site extraordinaire Rue La La regarding their new mobile site m.ruelala.com. Well, according to the The New York Times, haute couture fashion retailer Net-a-Porter.com has joined the iPhone retail ranks as well. The site recently released their own app, the Net-App, which allows iPhone-savvy shoppers to browse the same drool-worthy clothing and accessories, read the same fashion articles and make the same luxurious purchases they would make on Net-a-Porter.com.
Now, while the convenience of buying something beautiful on a bargain site — or perhaps ordering something mundane like laundry detergent as you sit on the Metro — via cell may sit well with just about anyone these days, I’m wondering: Could you imagine dropping the dough for this bag (also pictured to the right) via a handheld, that is if you would purchase it in person in the first place?
Do tell: Where exactly do you imagine drawing the line with mobile purchases? And, what is the most expensive you ever made online? Would you do it again?
Ps. If comfortable buying some amazing denim on a great deal online, don’t miss the Hudson sale on ideeli.com at 11 a.m. today!
