You deserve a warm environment, a touch of something special and, of course, the best Italian food around! And this weekend, you’ll get it all at Maggiano’s in Tyson’s Corner.

Maggiano's at Tyson's Corner
Head out to Maggiano’s TOMORROW to partake of their delectable wine dinner. Courses will be paired with the best wines from local Virginia wineries such as Tarara, Barboursville, Marterella and Breaux Vineyards.
Executive Chef Manuel Duron will try to out-do past wine dinner’s as they are always a smash! The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and is priced at $75.00 per person, plus tax.
The Menu:
-Shrimp & Zucchini Crostini
-Butternut Squash Ravioli with Brown Butter Sage Sauce
-Mixed Green Salad with Pistachio Vinaigrette
-Veal Ossobucco – Calabrian Style
-Roasted Vegetable Medley
-Chocolate Mascarpone Cheesecake with Mixed Berries
If you like Italian food, you won’t want to miss this extravagant feast! This is definitely some of the best Italian cuisine I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is exciting, yet elegant, with a touch of old world Italy. So sit back, have a glass of wine and, if you don’t make it for the wine dinner, then you at least must come for Mama’s Lasagna. It’s warm and gooey with mozzarella cheese and loaded with ladles full of rich, hearty meat sauce.
Also going on now- their Classic pasta deal; buy any of their 9 classic pasta dishes to eat today, and get a free one to take home for tomorrow. That’s right, absolutely free. No, you can’t eat the free one there, so don’t even ask. But at least you’ve got dinner covered for the next night! This is every day of the week, lunch or dinner so what are you waiting for? Free pasta awaits you!

Good morning, shoppers! Here’s hoping you all had a great weekend despite some disappointing football. Should you still be sad over the Redskins’ loss, or like in my case, the losses of both Penn State and the Steelers, I wanted to remind you of just the event to perk you up: Salon Bleu’s “Cuts for the Cure” coming up this Sunday, Oct. 4, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.!
At the event, as I mentioned a few weeks ago, the salon’s impeccable stylists — I seriously pray that Bleu’s Melanie never stops doing hair and makeup — will be providing haircuts and blow-drys at their usual prices, and donating 100 percent of service proceeds to the Maryland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a cause very close to the hearts of the Bleu team. Clients will also be invited to purchase tickets for a variety of raffle baskets with winners to be announced at the end of the day.
Salon Bleu’s pink-themed fundraiser will also feature refreshments and treats from Entyse Restaurant and Maggiano’s, while Bose will have a DJ spinning. Plus, the salon will be offering complimentary chair massages and makeup applications. (By the way, one of the best parts of the Salon Bleu experience is the head massage you receive when getting shampooed. Heaven!)
While walk-ins will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis, I suggest making an appointment (202-333-2538, ext. 4). For one, the schedule is filling up fast. Also, all clients who schedule appointments for the event will receive an exclusive “Cuts for the Cure” gift bag from Salon Bleu, which will will include fabulous prizes from partnering retailers.
Can’t make the event? You can still make a donation. Call the salon for details.
Ps. In other hair news, T3 is celebrating five amazing years, offering special savings at several beauty-related retailers through the end of this week.
