Shelley Sarmiento, previous owner and executive Vice President of White House Black Market, decided to take this business venture after a moment of inspiration while eating a grilled cheese sandwich from her favorite food truck on the streets of New York City, Sarmiento tells Refinery29. And boy, did she deliver.

LWTF brings the same experience as a brick-mortar store directly to shoppers. Her innovative idea allows her 28 years of experience in the fashion retail industry, passion, and efforts to come full-circle. Whether you’re 15 years old, nearing 70, or forever “39,” there is surely an affordable gem you can find in the Little White Fashion Truck.

For Caroline Whittington, Richmond-local and owner of giantLION jewelry, the true gems in her closet are ones that she can wear over and over again despite the typical fashion fads. Here is a Q&A on this down-to-earth designer and her simple yet distinct approach to style and her jewelry collection.

Dog Kids Backpack, $40 (Photo courtesy of Dabbawalla Bags)

As awful as it sounds, many families are already back-to-school shopping, and for those eager children getting ready for their first FIRST day of school, you want to find the perfect backpack to ease those nerves. With a unique Dabbawalla Bag, your child will be wanting to sprint out of the door.

Inspired by an Indian tradition where dabbawallas delivered cooked lunches to office workers, Dabbawalla Bags now have become a special way for children to carry their personal belongings wherever they go.

Originally founded by sisters Susan Givens and Carol Macks, each bag is individually sewn and is the complete opposite of the oversized lunch boxes and backpacks found in the back-to-school shopping sections. Aside from its light weight and size, Dabbawalla Bags also are washable, insulated and 100 percent toxic free. Even the designs are simple and charming compared to the crazy patterns and animations seen on children’s bags nowadays.

These simple and fun bags are perfect for children of all ages, one that will keep your child’s most precious memories tucked away all year round.

 Happy Shopping!
