The Proposal (as told by Lauren): “We went to visit my family in my hometown of Columbia, SC. Little did I know that Matt planned to propose and enlisted the help of my family. After having dinner and attending the symphony with my parents, we planned to meet my sister and brother-in-law for drinks and dessert. Although I thought the rendezvous was my idea, it turned out that Matt had planned the entire event. When we walked into the restaurant we were escorted to a table in the back where a bottle of champagne was on ice chilling. Matt asked me to marry him, I said yes, and then my family joined us for a toast and dessert.”
