The Northern Virginians of the Year are ordinary people who serve their community in extraordinary ways.
A police officer working to improve relations between the police force and its community. A couple who focus on stroke rehabilitation. A humble woman whose small yard sale blossomed into an annual fundraiser. And a middle school principal who is breaking barriers to inspire students and boosting academic outcomes. These are just a few of the Northern Virginians who are making the area a better place for all of those who live here.
