Alexandria hopes for its first laser tag center
The site of the former AMF Seminary Lanes in Alexandria may get new life with a laser tag facility. An application has been submitted for a 15,400-square-foot entertainment facility at 4620-A Kenmore Ave., and will include an arcade and dining facility.
VIDA Fitness expands again in Arlington
VIDA Fitness is considering opening a location in Rosslyn according to The Washington Business Journal. This will be an additional location to the one in Ballston that is expected to open in late 2019.
Bargain shopping comes to Springfield Town Center
Springfield Town Center is getting some bargain shopping as Macy’s Backstage, the discount store arm of the retail giant, opens late summer. The 11,000-square-foot store will be on the third level of the current Macy’s location.
Inova looks to Landmark Mall for expansion
Though the filming of Wonder Woman 1984 has garnered some attention to this closed-down mall, Inova is looking to this space for the longterm. The health care giant is proposing a project that would include a 25-story tower with helipad, women’s and children’s center and cancer research center, according to The Washington Business Journal. Their reports state that plans are to be submitted to the city this month.
Pop-up shopping makes its way to One Loudoun
According to The Burn, One Loudoun is installing two retro-fitted shipping containers behind the Uncle Julio’s Restaurant to act as permanent pop-up shop space. The development is hoping to have them up and running this month.
