On Oct. 9, the search engine released its analytics tool Frightgeist, revealing the top trending Halloween costume ideas for 2019 on both a national and local scale. According to the methodology, the data was gathered throughout the month of September, pulling from the top 500 costume searches in the United States.
Through Freitgeist, you can browse the most common themes for this year’s costumes, as well as the top five popular costumes in each state, thanks to the interactive map feature.
From recently debuted TV characters to classic looks, here’s what you’ll most likely see trick-or-treating down the block or dancing the night away at your party this Halloween.
