Tip-off to the 2014-2015 NBA season is a little less than a week away with the Washington Wizards preparing to take on the Miami Heat on the road for the first game of their season. But don’t be alarmed if the away team looks a little bit different than the last few years, it’s just your Wizards in their brand new alternate jersey.
After changing back to a red, white and blue color scheme and a design that harken backs to the Washington Bullets in 2011, the Wizards have now added an alternate road jersey they will wear on Wednesday road games and some big home games.
The alternate jersey is primarily navy blue, with a red blocking around the shoulders, with Washington on the front of the jersey and the teams alternate monument logo on the shorts.
