Virginia Task Force 1, a search and rescue team based in Fairfax County, has arrived in Houston to respond to the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.

Ed Gillespie, the Republican candidate for Virginia governor, hired Jack Morgan, who served as President Donald Trump’s Southwest Virginia field director during his campaign and worked for Prince William County Board of Supervisors Chairman Corey Stewart during the gubernatorial primary.

Following Amazon’s purchase of Whole Foods, discounts have already been spotted at local Whole Foods stores, including the location in Clarendon.

The Charlottesville City Council will hold a closed-door session to “discuss the performance and discipline of an elected official” following the fatal white supremacist rally in the city earlier in the month that left three dead. The elected official who will be the subject of the meeting was not identified.
