Amazon joins Greater Washington Partnership; Snow in forecast early Friday

Northern Virginia’s daily dose of local and national news for Thursday, Feb. 28.

Amazon has joined the Greater Washington Partnership, an alliance of the region’s largest companies, ahead of its HQ2 arrival in Arlington County. It has also joined the Arlington County and Alexandria City chambers of commerce. (The Washington Post)

Snow is in the forecast across the Northern Virginia region, with accumulation expectations ranging from 0 inches in Fredericksburg to more than 3 inches in Loudoun County. The snow will develop Thursday night and fall into early Friday morning. (InsideNoVA)

The Penzance Properties development originally submitted in 2015 is finally moving forward after its sixth submission to the Herndon Planning Commission on Monday. The development would create an urban block with residential, office and retail space in three buildings at 555 Herndon Parkway. (Reston Now)
