Amazon posts first jobs for National Landing headquarters; NoVA schools named on national best high schools list

Amazon posted the first job listings for its National Landing headquarters in Arlington County on Monday. The company also stated it will be moving two vice presidents from Seattle to Virginia to oversee workforce development and international growth of the Amazon app, Alexa. (The Washington Post)

U.S. News and World Report released its annual Best High Schools list, which named Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology among the top high schools in the country, ranked at fourth place. Other schools listed include McLean High School, Oakton High School and Langley High School. (Inside NoVA)

A proposal to renovate and take over operations of the Town of Middleburg’s historic Asbury Church has been submitted by Loudoun Construction. The proposal would turn the 190-year-old church building into the company’s main office building. (Loudoun Now)
