Centreville seventh-grader Devan Waghrey is set to compete at the 92nd annual Scripps National Spelling Bee after winning the 41st annual Prince William Regional Spelling Bee back in March. Fairfax County Board approved a 2020 budget with salary increases for teachers and non-teacher employees of Fairfax County Public Schools. The budget includes a $55.2 million investment in teacher salaries and $46.8 million for eligible employees, and a hope to increase the living wage of FCPS employees to $15.50 per hour.
