Virginia residents are being reminded by state tax officials that individual income taxes must be filed by July 1 in order to qualify for the Tax Relief Fund. WMATA started a study this week that could cause future changes to the Blue, Silver and Orange lines. One of the biggest changes is whether or not Rosslyn will get a second station, which could create a better flow for all three lines and help divert traffic during other construction in the area. Arlington County has approved a plan for a seven-story housing apartment building at the northwest corner of Washington Boulevard and Kirkwood Road that will offer 16 affordable units to families earning 60% or less than the area’s median household income. (WTOP)
Prince William Board of County Supervisors is now recognizing June as LGBTQ Pride month thanks to a resolution by Supervisor Frank Principi, D-Woodbridge. The board voted 5-3 after 22 people spoke in favor of the resolution at the meeting, and no one spoke against it. (Inside NoVA)
